Terms and Conditions for AIO access

Use of the Anthropological Index Online is free for the purposes of academic and private research to individuals and educational institutions in the developing world.

Limited usage is also permitted by private individuals and educational institutions elsewhere, as follows:

• Access from non-educational institutions is permitted provided they make a contribution towards the indexing costs by subscribing.
• Limited/occasional access from educational institutions is permitted free of charge. We take limited access to mean less than 100 searches in a year.
• Otherwise educational institutions must also subscribe for unlimited access by their users.

We reserve the right to block access from institutions that persistantly use the service without a subscription. In such cases we will give notice of one month after which access will be denied until a subscription is paid.

For the year 2009 the subscription for unlimited use is 540 USD (Euro and Sterling rates on request).
